"(Psalms 23:5) In the midst of our death filled world Jesus, the Good Shepherd, invites us to the feast for Life! Kathleen Camille "Kaycee" Hintz was born on July 28th, 1963 and reborn to eternal life in Jesus through Holy Baptism on August 29th, 1976. She confessed the Holy Christian Apostolic faith and was confirmed at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Ceylon, MN on April 23rd, 1978. Her confirmation verse was: John 6:35 "And Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. " She fell asleep in Jesus on August 8th, 2018. The text for her funeral is John 6:35. The theme: "Our Comfort Under The Cross - The Feast For Life!" Preached at St. Paul's Ev. Kathleen Camille “Kaycee” Hintz
    Kathleen was born at home on July 28, 1963 in State Center, IA to Wendell and Nadine (Paul) Myers. She was the youngest of five children. She was reborn by God’s grace in Christ Jesus through the waters of Holy Baptism at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Ceylon, Minnesota on August 29th, 1976. Growing in her baptismal faith receiving catechetical instruction through Rev. Mark Bents she confessed Jesus as her Savior and was confirmed in the Apostolic Faith on April 23rd, 1978 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Ceylon. Her confirmation verse was: John 6:35 “And Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.” Kaycee attended and graduated from Ceylon High School in the spring of 1981.
    On July 11, 1981 the Lord united Kaycee and Larry Hintz in the blessed estate of marriage at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Ceylon, Minnesota. Their wedding service was officiated by Rev. Sevig and Rev. Robert E. Hintz. The Lord would bless their marriage wtih three children. Kaycee continued her education at Mankato Vo-Tech after her marriage. She served the Lord as a loving Christian wife, mother, and grandmother. She also served her Lord working at Mel Carlson Chevrolet for several years, and continuing work at WFS/CFS for 20 years until prevented by her illness.
    Kaycee enjoyed crafting, summer cruises with Larry, hosting many family gatherings, and baking. She was famous for her Special K bars, puppy chow, and scalloped corn. She always enjoyed baking Christmas cookies with her children and grandchildren. One of her favorite things was being a grandma. Her legacy to her children, grandchildren, family, and friends, is to always have hope and never give up. Kaycee will be remembered for supporting her friends when in need, even when her need was great too. They supported each other through cancer battles for many years.    
    On Wednesday morning, August 8th, 2018, the Lord delivered Kaycee from every evil taking her from this valley of sorrow Home to Himself in Heaven. She fell asleep in Jesus at her home after a long battle with cancer.
    Left to look forward to the great family reunion that awaits all Christians on the Last Day in the resurrection of our bodies and the life of the world to come are her husband Larry; children, Nichole (Kevin) Klug, Michael (Chelsea) Hintz, Becca (Dylan Tomlinson) Hintz and one “German Daughter” Kathleen Schie; six grandchildren, Jacob, Kylie, and Parker Klug, and Lucas, Liam, and Logan Hintz; siblings, David (Bill) Myers, Teri Sue Myers, and Don (Joni) Myers; and Larry’s siblings, Ellie (Clete) Anderson, Sharon (Paul) Leimer, Rhonda (Gary) Whitcomb, Annette (Larry) Bremer and Naomi (Terry) Ochsendorf; Also Many Nieces and Nephews other relatives and friends.
    Kaycee was preceded Home to Heaven through death by her parents, Wendell and Nadine Myers, brother Daniel Myers and her in-laws Robert and Loretta (Busse) Hintz, and great friend, Daphne Sackett.
“And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day." (John 6:40)
