The Walk of the Gospel

November 03, 2019
Rev. Dennis R. Hartman

If an athlete says they are going to compete in the 50 yard dash, and they line up at the starting line, I could believe that they are an athlete that competes in running. But if the starting signal goes off and they just sit there at the starting line, then they are not what they say they are. In the last message we spoke concerning the goal of the Gospel. As believers, we do not have to wander aimlessly through this life. Instead we keep our eye on the goal so that we can press on. We need to understand that to have a goal means nothing unless it is pursued. Paul gives us an admonition about this very thing in the next few verses.
