Episode Notes

John 10:7, So Jesus again said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the Door of the sheep.

JESUS IS THE ONLY ONE FIT TO BE THE DOOR

1. Only Jesus lacks PREJUDICE

John 10:7 ... So Jesus again said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the Door of the sheep."

Galatians 3:26-28 ... for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

2. Only Jesus provides true LIFE

John 10:10 ...  The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

Matthew 23:16-19 ... “Woe to you, blind guides, who say, ‘If anyone swears by the temple, it is nothing, but if anyone swears by the gold of the temple, he is bound by his oath.’ 17 You blind fools! For which is greater, the gold or the temple that has made the gold sacred? And you say, ‘If anyone swears by the altar, it is nothing, but if anyone swears by the gift that is on the altar, he is bound by his oath.’  You blind men! For which is greater, the gift or the altar that makes the gift sacred?

3. Only Jesus offers SALVATION

John 10:9 ... I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.

Matthew 23:13-14 ... “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut the kingdom of heaven in people's faces. For you neither enter yourselves nor allow those who would enter to go in. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour widows' houses and for a pretense you make long prayers; therefore you will receive the greater condemnation.

John 3:16-17 ...  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him."
