Matthew 6:9-13 ... Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Matthew 6:10 ... Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
God's will is found in God's WORD ... Stop looking for a sign and start looking for a VERSE
- It's God's will that I am in a SAVING relationship with Him.
2nd Peter 3:9 ... The Lord is not slow to fulfill His promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing (KJV: willing) that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
I start here if I ever hope to know the rest of God’s WILL
- It's God's will that I am under the INFLUENCE of His Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 5:17-18 ... Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit.
I willingly YIELD myself to His control.
- It's God's will that I am SEXUALLY pure.
1st Thessalonians 4:3-5 ... For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God.
I am to be holy, CONSECRATED, and dedicated to God.
- It's God's will that I am GRATEFUL no matter what.
1st Thessalonians 5:16-18 ... Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
I trust that EVERYTHING fits into God’s perfect plan.
- It's God's will that I SUBMIT to authority.
1st Peter 2:13-15 ... Be subject for the Lord's sake to every human institution, whether it be to the emperor as supreme, or to governors as sent by Him to punish those who do evil and to praise those who do good. For this is the will of God, that by doing good you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people.
I don't give people an EXCUSE to dishonor God.
- It's God's will that I am PREPARED to suffer for His sake.
1st Peter 4:19 ... Therefore let those who suffer according to God's will entrust their souls to a faithful Creator while doing good.
I expect OPPOSITION to living a godly life.
Matthew 6:10 ... Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
I seek God's WILL and trust His WISDOM
Luke 22:42 ... Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me. Nevertheless, not My will, but Yours, be done.
