The story of the Prodigal Son is one of great hope beyond our sin the repentance that brings us home and back to a loving Father. What follows is a great celebration. Unfortunately, as strange as it seems, not everyone celebrates the return of the Wayward Son. Tucked at the back of the story is the third act ... one that highlights the bitterness and frustration of an Angry Son, an older brother that completely loses perspective because he couldn't see past his own selfishness.

BIG IDEA:
Jesus Christ came not to make bad people good but to make dead people alive.
Truths that lead from death to life:
1. Staying close to the Father has as much to do with attitude as geography.
James 4:8, Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.
2. Obeying the father has as much to do with motivation as rule keeping.
John 14:15, If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.
3. Sharing in the Father’s riches has as much to do with repentance as inheritance.
1st Corinthians 6:11, And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
Galatians 2:20, I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
