Jesus CHOSE to die a brutal death for us ... Accept Him as the only way to SALVATION
JESUS DIED TO DEMONSTRATE THE HORRIFIC CONSEQUENCES OF SIN
--satan wants us to LAUGH at and excuse SIN
Isaiah 5:20 ... Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!
--The CROSS reveals what SIN really looks like to God.
JESUS DIED TO REVEAL THE AMAZING LOVE OF GOD
--God is both JUST and LOVING
Isaiah 53:5-6 ... But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray;we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
--God’s wrath against sin has been SATISFIED and His love for people has been EXPRESSED
JESUS DIED TO PROVIDE THE ONLY WAY TO SALVATION
Jesus died to provide the only WAY to SALVATION
World religions offer a MORAL code to live by and earn God’s FAVOR
Acts 4:12 ... And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
Christianity leads us to WORSHIP of the PERSON of Jesus Christ.
John 10:17-18 ... For this reason the Father loves Me, because I lay down my life that I may take it up again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of my own accord.
