Week 10 of the series on discipleship. Over the next three months, we are looking intently at the book of Matthew; specifically we will be focused on the teachings of Jesus directly related to discipleship. Jesus sets the ultimate example of submission when he prays in the garden before the crucifixion. His desire is to avoid the suffering, the weight of sin and shame but in the end commits to the will of the Father.. In this message, Frank leads us through understanding not just what this picture of faith and submission teaches but also what we might be challenged to do in our lives.

Episode Notes

Matthew 26:36-46

Matthew 26:39, And going a little farther He fell on His face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.”
