VISION 20/20

Open Your Eyes

Proverbs 29:18 (KJV) Where there is no vision, the people perish.

(screen only) Vision is a mental picture of what could be fueled by a passion for what should be.

Proverbs 29:18 (NIV) Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint.

Proverbs 29:18 (MSG) If people can't see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves; but when they attend to what he reveals, they are most blessed.

Psalm 16:11 (NLT) You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.

John 10:10 (NIV) The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

WHAT WE DO:

We exist to bring the good news of Jesus to EVERYONE, EVERYDAY, EVERYWHERE.

HOW WE DO IT:

We Help You...

Find and FOLLOW JESUS

Find YOUR PEOPLE

Find FREEDOM

Find Your PURPOSE

John 4:27 (NIV) Just then his disciples returned and were surprised to find him talking with a woman. But no one asked, “What do you want?” or “Why are you talking with her?”

John 4:28 Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people,

John 4:29 “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?”

John 4:30 They came out of the town and made their way toward him.

John 4:31 Meanwhile his disciples urged him, “Rabbi, eat something.”

John 4:32 But he said to them, “I have food to eat that you know nothing about.”

John 4:33 Then his disciples said to each other, “Could someone have brought him food?”

John 4:34 “My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.

John 4:35 Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.

Three Characteristics of the Spiritually NEARSIGHTED:

1.            You become blinded by your OWN NEEDS.

2.            Your PRAYERS are all about YOU.

3.            You lose the HEART of the ONE you serve.

Four Ways to be an EYES WIDE OPEN Follower of Jesus:

1.            Accept the personal RESPONSIBILITY.

Luke 19:10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

Matthew 5:14-16 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Mark 16:15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.

Luke 14:23 “Then the master told his servant, ‘Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full.

Acts 1:8 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Romans 10:13-14 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” 14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?

1 Corinthians 9:22 To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some.

2 Corinthians 5:19-20 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

Jude 1:23 save others by snatching them from the fire; to others show mercy, mixed with fear—hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.

Ezekiel 33:6 But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes someone’s life, that person’s life will be taken because of their sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for their blood.’

2.            Develop a personal RELATIONSHIP.

3.            Share your personal STORY.

4.            Give a personal INVITATION.

Acts 2:42-27 (NIV) They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people (Everywhere they went). And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
